You have clues as to where to find critique partners on Instagram who know my genre (mystery -thriilers), but would you recommend Direct Messaging instagrammers and outright asking, or is there another strategy for identifying appropriate partners?
Hi Peter, great question. I think starting a conversation is the first step. Begin to build that (online) relationship prior to cold DM'ing. That way, you can feel good about your alignment before asking to trade pages. I also believe this same practice can be used in writers association groups, writing conferences, etc. Good luck!
