I have trouble writing without staring out a window. Writing facing a wall just doesn't work for me. And I agree about not chasing perfection or even progress when writing but instead chasing truth. Thanks for sharing.
After publishing four books, my fifth novel headed in a different direction. Over the last eight months I laid out the ideas and tightened my blurb; I've even written about 7000 words. I've lost my rhythm and feel I need a pause. I know I will find my way back to writing, and I am sure it will be sooner than later, so for now, I will sit in wonder of what I've accomplished thus far.
